Yes, we are going to develop fasinating Batteries !! :)

HERE about what happened in our LAB TO LATELY.

A FELLOWSHIP is ready for undergraduate students to lead INNOVATIONS

Jan. 5th, 2017

LAB에서는 혁신적인 배터리 개발에 동참할 박사/석사/학부 연구생들을 적극적으로 모집하고 있습니다.

관심이 있는 학생들은 jymun@inu.ac.kr 로 연락 바랍니다.

Now we have opened a lot of positions for graduate students for Ph.D and Master courses and interships of undergraduate students. We sincerely welcome international students for LAB. The positions for postdoctorial fellowship can also be opened soon. If you have interest in our LAB, please send your CV and contact to jymun@inu.ac.kr

We have a new internship student, Giyong Lee.

Mar. 25th, 2019

Giyong Lee just began the research activity in LAB. Let's make it.

We have a new internship student, Bi Hong, So.

Jan 5th, 2019

Bi Hong, So joins our LAB as an internship student. He will continue the research as a Master course student in our LAB from the 2nd semester in 2019.

Welcome aboard!

Happy new year with a new paper!

Jan 6th, 2019

Happy new year!

A new paper was just accepted by Journal of Alloy and Compounds.

The new concept for improving the aqueous Na ion batteries with artificial inorganic passivation will be published in the journal.

It is great that Dr. Tron who had been in LAB as a post-doc. and prof. Mun have close collaborations as co-corresponding authors for this paper.  Seuonghun is a 1st author for this paper.

New paper with Seonghun's work

Oct. 30th, 2018

Jeong's first paper, which is titled "Self-generated Coating of LiCoO2 by Washing and Heat Treatment without Coating Precursors." has been accepted by Journal of the electrochemical society. The electrochemical performance improvement of LiCoO2 by the mild surface changes without coating precursors were investigated.  We found that the water treatment at the ambient temperature causes the unstable species which can be altered to surface stabilizers such as cobalt oxide at the additional heat treatment process.  We recommend that the paper is meaningful to find the detail surface changes on the LiCoO2 by XPS, which can not be investigated by bulk analyses which are XRD and EXAFS.

Dr. Thorat joined our LAB.

Sep 21th, 2018

Dr. Thorat arrived Korea to join our LAB. Welcome aboard-

Meihwa Hong joined our LAB.

Sep. 2nd, 2018

Welcome again. M. Hong has joined our LAB recently. She is an expert who was working for a vehicle company in China. With the circumstance of expanding electric vehicles, she came here for studying batteries for next generation vehicles, despite her background is not exactly chemical engineering. It is really true that LAB is an open-space for enthusiastic colleagues hoping to learn batteries.  We are ready to welcome more colleagues who will come to LAB.

Nhi finished summer internship program.

Aug. 14th, 2018

Nhi from Can Tho Univ. finished the 1 month internship program and left LAB. We hope Nhi shares good memories in LAB during that program.

Dr. Tron left LAB and got a permanent position in SINTEF, Norway

Aug. 23th, 2018

Congratulations! Dr. Tron, who was a post-doctoral researcher in LAB, went Norway to be a research staff in SINTEF. He is the 1st researcher in LAB. He focused the aqueous and solid electrolyte rechargeable battery system during 4 years in LAB. He established several electrochemical systems to show his ideas from the bottom. No doubt he will be happy in a new position. But we are missing u.

Soobeen has joined the LAB

2nd, July, 2018

Soobeen Lee has joined the LAB as an internship member. Welcome aboard!!

Ho van Chuong joined our LAB

June 11th, 2018

Ho van Chuong who came from Vietnam has joined our LAB as a Ph.D course student today. Since LAB established, he is the 1st Ph.D course student. Welcome aboard!

Seonghun's best poster award in Korean Battery Symposium

May 25th, 2018

Congratulations! Seonghun got a best poster award in 2018 spring Korean Battery Symposium which was held in Daejun from 24th to 25th, May, 2018. He presented a poster titled "Self-generated Coating of LiCoO2 by Washing and Heat Treatment without Coating Precursor."

Jineun joined LAB!!

May 7th, 2018

Jineun joined our LAB as an internship student. Welcome aboard!!

The first new paper in 2018 has just been accepted by ACS AMI (IF=7.504).

Jan. 5th, 2018

To extend the energy density of P2-type cathode for Na ion batteries, the abnormal behavior via Ti ion doping has been studied. Through Ti ion doping, we was able to control the stabilization energy between vacant site and Na ion and to deliver a beneficial meta-stable phase over high potential, extending the limitation of the border of Na ion cathode electrode. I would like to special thank to colleagues in SNU, S. Kang and prof. Y. Sung.
